Below is the email that we received from an Arborist regarding the tree. Could you please add this to our filing? Thank you, Richard and Kirsten Tavano 508-280-0024 From: Michael White <mmwarbor@yahoo.com> Sent: Wednesday, February 19, 2025 6:44 AM To: rktavano@comcast.net Subject: Maple Good Morning After reviewing yesterday it is apparent that the Swamp Maple (Acer rubrum) adjacent to your home validates your concerns. The root system is somewhat compromised with obvious decay on the lake side of the tree. More importantly, the tree itself has very poor structural characteristics. By having a large number of large diameter stems it is makes more likely to have stem failure due to wind load, snow load, etc. There is some incorporated bark on a few of these unions with the base. The tree is not a candidate for cabling due to the volume of stems (in my opinion) and due to the high target risk of homes, vehicles, and outdoor gathering areas I’d recommend removing the tree to mitigate any property damage concerns.
