I have lived on 6a not to far from the address of concern for the past 15 years or so.
Unfortunately because of prior commitments I can not attend tonight’s meeting I person.
However if I may quickly give my opinion as a neighbor and concerned citizen, allow a
minute of your time.
Over the years that Auto body has been an eyesore not to mention what looks to be a
hazardous operation. As a business owner I understand how hard it can be to follow all the
rules and still get by. However, with its location where it is so close to houses, an
expansion seems very uncalled for.
I can only imagine living close by, smelling the fumes and having to wonder where all of the
contaminated water could be going. No doubt into an aquifer and pumped back up through
the local wells for everyday use.
The proposed expansion on this property would seem to encourage even more misuse of
the property and more of a burden on the community.
Whatever decision is made, I hope that contamination is something that is considered.
