The Applicant proposes septic system upgrades under Title V: to abandon existing septic tank and associated
piping, abandon two existing leach pits and associated piping, install a new sanitary absorption field, install a
1,500-gallon septic tank to be fed by gravity to the sanitary absorption field with sizing based on the minimum
4-bedroom design flow. Portions of the patio may be disturbed during plumbing installation, therefore, some
patio repairs are anticipated. The proposed removal of the leach pit located near the wetland will direct flow from
the house to the new system via new interior plumbing. The proposed system upgrades are located outside of
the 100 foot buffer to the isolated vegetated wetlands area. The proposed absorption system is in FEMA Flood
Zone X and the septic tank is just inside the FEMA Flood Zone X line.
