Mr. Hoopes and Commission members,
Green Seal Environmental LLC (GSE) on behalf of the Applicant, Archwright LLC, and the landowner, Zig Harbor
LLC, is pleased to submit the attached Request for Determination of Applicability (RDA) for activities proposed
project located at 100/112 Washington Avenue in Hyannis Port.
The scope of work for this project includes lifting the existing house, excavating the soil and foundation from
beneath it, pouring a new foundation, and subsequently placing the house back onto the new foundation. The
work includes a small kitchen addition of 185 sf. A portion of the work falls within 100 feet of a vegetated
wetland buffer zone and is subject to the Commission’s review.
All the proposed work will occur in the buffer zone in a previously developed lawn area. The Applicant will install
perimeter erosion controls to protect the resource area at or near the 50-ft local buffer zone.
We recognize the importance of ensuring that all work is conducted in compliance with Conservation
regulations and look forward to discussing the project with the Commission at your April 15, 2005 meeting.
