HomeMy WebLinkAboutS Korjeff Comments- Revised Plans 265 Sea View AveSubject: Re: 265 Sea View Avenue, Osterville comments Michael, Thank you for providing revised plans for the proposed work on the historic structure at 265 Sea View Avenue in Osterville. The revised plans show the rear roof slope of the building appears to be better preserved by retaining the original dormer forms and removing the previously proposed walk-out balcony. The revised plans also incorporate arches between the proposed porch columns to reference the original arched openings and better preserve that character-defining element of the building design. The applicant should explore using 5 arches instead of 6 along the porch to make the arch forms closer in size and scale to the existing arches. It would also be helpful if the architect provided additional information on the plans showing the amount of existing roof slope material and dormer material that will be preserved in the proposed project. This would help clarify how much of the exterior building envelope will be preserved. Please contact me if you have any questions.
