You are receiving this notification because you have been identified as the owner of land abutting another parcel of land for which certain activities are proposed. Those activities require a permit under the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act (M.G.L. c. 131, § 40) and the Barnstable Wetlands Protection Bylaw. In accordance with the second paragraph of the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, and 310 CMR 10.05(4)(a) of the Wetlands Regulations you are hereby notified that: A.A Request for an Amended Order of Conditions was filed with the Barnstable Conservation Commission on April 22, 2025 seeking permission to remove, fill, dredge, or alter an area subject to protection under M.G.L. c. 131 §40 and the Barnstable Wetlands Bylaw. The following is a description of the proposed activity/activities: B.The name of the applicant is: Brian Connolly C.The address of the land where the activity is proposed is: 169 Salten Point Road (Property ID: 301-003). D.Copies of the Request may be examined or obtained at the office of the Barnstable Conservation Commission, located at 230 South Street, Hyannis, MA 02601. The regular business hours of the Commission are Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the Commission may be reached at (508) 862-4093. E.Copies of the Request may be obtained from the applicant’s representative by calling Cape & Islands Engineering, at 508-477-7272. An administrative fee may be applied for providing copies of the Request and plans. F.The hearing is scheduled for May 13, 2025 at 3:00 PM, located at 230 South Street in Hyannis. Information regarding the date, time, and location of the public hearing regarding the Request for an Amended Order of Conditions may be obtained from the Barnstable Conservation Commission. Notice of the public hearing will be published at least five business days in advance, in the Barnstable Patriot. Notification provided pursuant to the above requirement does not automatically confer standing to the recipient to request Departmental Action for the underlying matter. See 310 CMR 10.05(7)(a)4. The applicant proposes to add a lawn reconfiguration and mitigation to the approval under Order of Conditions SE 3-6141. The proposal also includes a minor geometric reconfiguration of the existing gravel driveway. Work will take place within Land Subject to Coastal Storm Flowage and within 100 feet to coastal resources.
