WETLAND DELINEATION DATA FORMS & REPORT
Date: September 23, 2025
RE: Wetland Field Inspection & Delineation Job #25255
Project Address: 67 Huckleberry Lane, Marston Mills, MA
On Tu esday, September 23, 2025, a site inspection was conducted on the above
referenced property. The purpose of the inspection was to view wetland resource area
and delineate the limit of the bordering vegetated wetlands located on the southeast
side of the property. The methodology considered for establishing and reviewing the
BVW boundary follows the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection
September 2022 publication, "Delineating Bordering Vegetated Wetlands".
The wetland boundary was delineated with blue survey ribbon. The delineation
commences with boundary marker "ST BVW-1"" adjacent to the Southwest property
corner and extends to the north and terminates with wetland boundary marker "ST
BVW-14" near the Northwest property corner. This wetland area is shown on the DEP
Mass Mapper as a Shrub Swamp (SS) and based on the soils encountered and its
configuration resembles an abandon cranberry bog.
Inland wetland plant species identified during my inspection included Red maple,
Highbush blueberry, Scouler willow, Black tupelo, Arrowwood viburnum, Swamp
loosestrife and other wetland plants. Upland plant species identified above the BVW
included Black cherry, White pine, White oak, Scarlet oak, Morrow's honeysuckle,
Multiflora rose, English ivy, Virginia creeper, Oriental bittersweet, Pokeweed and other
upland plant species.
The Barnstable County Soil Survey information from the UCDAVIS NRCS website
describes the wetland area as 50 percent Freetown Soil Series and 40 percent Swansea
Soil Series and is consistent with our findings. The Soil Survey identifies soil in the upland
area as 85 percent Merrimac Soil Series to the north and is consistent with our findings
in the field. DEP Data Forms were prepared and are attached to this report.
