Retitle header to “Community Meeting and Public Comment Period”
Please add community meeting to the header.
Please make the following edit to the final sentence within the Enhanced Outreach & Public

Also, should this be labeled Figure 3-5 and then the two figures which follow be labeled 3-6 and 3-
7? The text within Long-Term Development Patterns on page 20 refences both of those figures and
would need to be revised accordingly.
39 Confirm that no snake species are of concern at this time
The following sentence needs to be revised. As written, it does not make sense.
Rare moths and freshwater mussels, such as the wood turtle, associated Creeper mussel, have been
recorded in Cape Cod watersheds and may occur in Barnstable.
40 Please replace the Sandy Neck Lighthouse photo with the photo sent by email and please title the

Resilient Open Space. Also add note to hot spots map to explain area in purple.
47 Rename Figure 4-5 to Figure 4-6 since this figure comes after the figure shown on page 45
52 Short intro section to be added to this explaining the chart. Context could be added to explain losses
in lands – are these due to changes in mapping? Can we also clarify what accounts for the increase in
public trust lands?
52, 53 Clarify on charts 5-1 and 5-2 that bottom sections are unprotected open space
87 Dog owners highlighted the lack of year-round dog-friendly beaches and parks, and trail users called
for expanded mountain biking and e-bike opportunities. Stakeholders also emphasized the
importance of sidewalk and multi-use path networks as heavily used recreation resources that
require continued expansion and better connections, particularly along Routes 132 and
128. (Route 28 instead of Route 128)

120 Zoning Districts Map:
Please update this map to be consistent with the version defined on page 24 which lists each of the
districts.
Please add the note defined with the map on page 24.

General Comments
Maps: The notes defined on the maps (as applicable) blend in with the maps. Is it possible to add the notes directly
under the title for the figure itself or add a white background behind the note so that it reads better? Please see
quick markup. The notes are ok as is within the large-scale maps included within Appendix A. I believe that this
applies to the following maps:
Figure 3-5 Zoning Districts Map (page 24)
Figure 4-4 Unique Features Map (page 43)
Figure 5-1 Inventory of Open Space Map (page 81)
Responsible parties- P&D needs to finalize parties and priority level
