Dear Mr. Pedicini,
I should like to make a public comment re Open Space Committee meeting on November 19 at the
Barnstable Town Hall.
"Please be aware that Barnstable residents are NOT ruled or governed exclusively by decisions
made by the Cape Cod Commission. More and more, Barnstable residents have evidence that the
CC Commission is the FIRST hurdle contractors and large building corporations apply before the
Town of Barnstable administration is approached/consulted. And, it usually follows that the town
allows whatever the CC Commission accepts and passes with very few changes. It has changed the
zoning laws to accommodate the contractors' demands and plans. This is despite the fanfare and
"show" of meetings to explain the plans/progress in each precinct to lull the residences into the
ultimate acceptance, e.g. Hanover Project."
I cannot attend the meeting given my age (b.1937).
