Members Present: Cheryl Powell, Cornelius Cawley, Laura Cronin, Kevin Matthews and Conrad Watson
Members Absent: Tom Doherty
Staff Present: Corey Pacheco, Senior Planner and Karen Pina, Principal Assistant, Planning & Development
Dept. in attendance.
To all persons deemed interested or affected by the Town of Barnstable’s Hyannis Main Street Waterfront Historic District
Commission Ordinance under Chapter 112, Article III of the Code of the Town of Barnstable, you are hereby notified that a public
meeting is being held at Town Hall, 367 Main Street, Hyannis, MA Selectmen’s Conference Room, 2nd Floor 6:30 P.M. on
Wednesday, December 17, 2025 . All public hearings and other matters anticipated by the Chair listed below may be acted upon.
The meeting will be televised live via Xfinity Channel 8 or high definition Channel 1072. It may also be accessed via the Government
Access Channel live stream on the Town of Barnstable’s website:

Chair Cheryl Powell reads email dated December 8, 2025, into record, correspondence from Mary Lincoln. Pictures of bricks and
sent with email of existing walls.
Motion made by Laura Cronin to continue to the January 7, 2026, seconded by Kevin Matthews,

Discussion Item
Conducting remote meetings in winter months
Kevin Matthews would like to always be in person. Some members cannot be here. Hybrid situation possibly.
Chair Cheryl Powell states only hybrid for Town Council and one other board.
Laura Cronin, in person better.
Conrad Watson, in person better.
Motion to stay with in person meetings, seconded by Kevin Matthews,

Corey Pacheco - to find out with Town Council if possible to do hybrid.
Chair Cheryl Powell, any updates with design guidelines, and the Planning Board (PB) schedule for joint meeting?
Corey Pacheco, PB is still not available.
Kevin Matthews, the Bldg. Commissioner – will he be coming to HHDC? Corey Pacheco, not sure.
Chair Cheryl Powell thanks Jack Kay for being on this Commission and all his valued skill.
