Dear Members of the Barnstable Conservation Commission,
I am writing in support of protecting the mature trees at 23 Pleasant Hill Lane.
I live near this neighborhood. I listen to the owl that makes those trees part of his home.
These trees are more than landscaping. They help manage stormwater, protect wetlands, support
wildlife, and define the character of Pleasant Hill. Once they are gone, they are gone forever.
I ask that the Commission use its authority to ensure these trees are preserved and protected as part of
any approval. Responsible development should not require unnecessary environmental loss.
Thank you for listening to community concerns and for your stewardship of Hyannis' rapidly declining
natural environment.
