Subject:Support for Preservation of Mature Trees at 23 Pleasant Hill Lane
Dear Members of the Barnstable Conservation Commission,
I am writing to express my support for protecting the mature trees located at 23 Pleasant Hill Lane.
These trees are far more than landscaping. They play an important role in managing stormwater,
protecting nearby wetlands, supporting wildlife, and defining the character of Pleasant Hill. Once these
trees are removed, they cannot be replaced.
I respectfully ask that the Commission use its authority to ensure these trees are preserved and
protected as part of any approval process. Responsible development should not require unnecessary or
irreversible environmental loss.
Thank you for listening to community concerns and for your continued stewardship of Barnstable’s
natural environment.
