Do you know that one tree provides enough air for four people to breathe? And that's not including all the animals (domestic - a.k.a. your "pets", wild, & the ones who live in the water & breathe air), other plants (such as tomatoes, berries, vegetables, food, herbs, etc.), and insects (like honeybees, spiders, etc.). How many people, animals (domestic, wild, & ones in the water), plants, & insects live on Cape Cod? How many trees are still here? Can you even answer these questions? Being in the positions you are all in, you should be able to answer them accurately. Are there enough trees here to provide enough air for everyone (including your loved ones, all animals, plants, food, & insects) to breathe? Do you care enough to never kill another tree again? Remember, for every tree you kill, you also kill 1 person, 1 animal, some plants, & some insects. Now ask the same questions about this planet & all the inhabitants. Knowing what I just told you, can you cut down another tree? Can you do it while thinking of your loved ones? If you can do this, it will show just how little, if at all, you care about yourselves, your loved ones, pets (if you have them), and all life in general. And if you do cut down one more tree, you'll show everyone that you do not care about yourselves, your loved ones, all of us, the plants, the animals, & the insects. Everything I stated is fact & easily researchable. By the way, I'm a teacher, and a life-long student. I try to make sure what I learn is the absolute truth, and then pass it on. I hope and pray that you will actually truly care about the preservation and protection of the existing mature trees on this property & all of Cape Cod. These trees contribute directly to life, air for all to breathe, protected resource area functions, including stormwater control, groundwater protection, erosion prevention, and overall water quality. Once removed, mature trees, & all the inhabitants they provide air for (such as yourselves, loved ones, all residents, animals, plants, & insects) cannot be meaningfully replaced. I urge you to think about the consequences of your actions, and to preserve all life and these trees to the maximum benefit & extent feasible in accordance with the laws of Nature, the laws of God/Creator, and the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and the Barnstable Wetlands Protection Bylaw. Wishing You Golden Blessings, Kim Sohlman
