Dear Conservation Commissioners:
I respectfully request that the order of conditions for the proposed "demolition of a dwelling
and shed project" require protection of the multiple, significant, mature, trees currently
located at 23 Pleasant Hill Lane. These trees contribute directly to resource area functions
and interests under the Wetlands Protection Act, including flood and erosion prevention,
groundwater protection, and wildlife habitat. Mature trees sequester carbon, and tree
canopy moderates increased urban heat associated with climate change, which
disproportionately affects people in EJ communities. Thank you for your consideration.
