Good Evening All,
I was planning on attending todays meeting, however my daughters sickness schedule
did not align with the appeals meeting. I wanted to write and send the following
attachments to oppose in part the Great Marsh development LLC project.
I live in Centerville, and travel the roads to be affected each day, and I watch over a
similar sized green space behind my home (~5-6 acres).
I believe in housing for all, and access to reasonable housing partly of which I think this
project brings to the table. Animals and critters can co-exist with homes, green spaces
surrounding homes as has been shown by Cape Cod's current suburban sprawl.
As you can see in the attachment in just a small 5-6 acre green space (Preserved for
approx. 100 years, as confirmed by aerial photography) many animals can thrive, find
refuge and prosper. What this doesnt align with his apartment buildings and parking lots.
Animals need trees/growth/ecosystems and rotting wood to thrive. Not Concrete.
I believe the zoning board should oppose the construction of such a great amount of
housing in such a small space, the apartment complex does not fit into the surrounding
area. Great Marsh LLC has a right to develop land they own, but this development should
be small 1-2 bedroom homes which the cape so eagerly needs, such as the ones built in
the 60's & 70's during that major development period.
Thank you for taking the time to read this email and hopefully my opinion can be
rendered prior to todays meeting.
Kind Regards,
