She would like to change the outside of the building, replace the siding to go from cedar siding to Hardie Board siding. Hardie will last a whole lot longer. The Building is in disrepair. Last done 6 or 8 years ago. Existing pictures are shown. Everything will look the same, colors will match, just the materials will change to the Hardie Board, it is fire resistant, not fire proof. Won’t melt , won’t burn. Class A fire rating, highest for exterior. Did get some pricing for comparison. Hardie comes in at 385, cedar removed and replaced before painting, over 800,000, the building is 102,000 sq. ft. a dozen gables. Labor would have to go out to bid, since it is Federal owned building, have to abide by David Bacon wage rates. Would like to do correctly and maybe last 20 years. Chair Cheryl Powell asks about comparison prices. Cedar and Hardie Board. Lorri Finton , 839,252.80 for cedar clapboard, but this does not include labor, neither quote includes labor. The existing reveal will be the same look with the Hardie Board. Chair Cheryl Powell opens public comment. Conrad Watson - prefers white cedar shingles, last 50 years and weather very nice. They layer. Don’t need to paint white cedar, don’t have to do anything to it. Discussion regarding the pricing of the clapboard and the shingles. Painting. Kevin Matthews, confirming the materials. He would vote to go ahead with the Hardie Board for this project. David Wrenn, likes cedar, but the Hardie is within the guidelines. Chair Cheryl Powell closes public comment. Refers to the picture of the area where transformer will go. He would like to take the approved location and move directly to the opposite side of the project. The transformer is very close. That’s why he wants to move. Explains the plan, regarding the access to the restrooms and a high traffic area. Everything else is the same. Cornelius Cawley confirms where tiki bar is. Discussion of where the transformer will go. Chair Cheryl Powell, why would the raw bar need to be larger? William Planishek, has to have its own area with refrigeration and ice. This way it is more isolated. Chair Cheryl Powell, not really a minor modification. Corey Pacheco, suggests, have Applicant submit more materials so can get elevations, since it is a different design. Kevin Matthews, the old plan, have 30 ft. from left to right, still bumping out more. The numbers are changing, you are changing the footprint. This is not a small change. This should come back as a new plan. Chair Cheryl Powell, the actual structure being proposed is not what was approved. William Planishek, didn’t know that the transformer would be coming in that’s why changing. Kevin Matthews, makes comparison to the dimensions of the plan. Nothing about lighting on this new plan. Need to see. Cornelius Cawley, asks if lighting will be the same. Any more seating? William Planishek, no more seating. Lighting will be the same. Fence going up on Monday. Chair Cheryl Powell, confirms where seating will be. William Planishek, would be all around with a bump out. Chair Cheryl Powell opens up public comment. Kevin Matthews, new plan doesn’t give specification needed. It’s a new foot print. Creating more space. Lighting to. Opposed to saying yes to what is presented. Cornelius Cawley, need something with the heights and the lights. Kevin Matthews, ok with the seating, issues are that its going to be bigger and no lights. Cornelius Cawley, what’s there is fine, looks good. Additional space being asked for now, some confusion. Chair Cheryl Powell concerned with extra 54 ft. being proposed.
