017, Built 1977
Install roof mounted solar panels.
Jennifer Chamber Abate from Sunrun and George Ledec, homeowner, were in attendance for
this item.
Jenn presented a revised plan for the solar panel array. They were able to add more panels onto
the rear, scale down the number of panels on the right-side roof, and move the remaining panels
towards the rear of the roof plane.
George noted that they listened to the Committee’s suggestions and reiterated their opinion that
solar panels are the least invasive form of renewable energy. He urged the Committee to approve
the application as revised.
Committee Discussion:
Lesley- Thanked the representative and applicant for listening to the Committee. Although it
would be preferable if all the panels could be located on the back or if the roof could be changed
to a darker color, she noted that the revised application is a good alternative. She also noted that
the neighbor who would see the panels the most did offer a letter in support of the project.
Erin- Agreed with Lesley particularly about the color of the roof, but since the remaining panels
facing south are placed as far back as they can be on the roof, they would be minimally visible.
Wendy- Agreed with Lesley and Erin. She thanked the applicants for listening to the
Committee’s suggestions and finds the revised plans to be appropriate.
Bett- She found the revised plans to be appropriate and thanked the applicants for listening to the
Committee.

Jacob and Clare Linder were in attendance for this item.
Jacob presented a photograph of the house when it was purchased in 2019. Since then there has
been water damage and storm damage to the dwelling which has made them need to do repairs
and new siding. Currently, new siding is on the house with just primer. They’re hoping to paint
the house Benjamin Moore 712 “Fort Pierce Green”. Clare also noted that the house was
previously green and that they are not looking to change the appearance much from when they
bought it.
Committee Discussion:
Wendy- Noted that there are multiple different architectures featuring different colors within the
neighborhood. She felt that the selected color would be a nice addition within the neighborhood.
Erin- Appropriate. She also noted as she drove by the house that there were two colors; one
shade lighter and one shade darker and wondered which shade of color it would be. Jacob noted
that it would be the color on the left closer to the door.
Lesley- Appropriate. Felt the lighter shade to the left would be better on the house.
Bett- Agreed with the Committee. No issues with the color.
Wendy Shuck moved to close the public hearing. Lesley Wallace seconded.
