This plan has been conditionally approved through May 2036. Conditional approval will allow the town to participate in DCS grant rounds through May 2036, and a grant award may be offered to the town. However, no final grant payments will be made until the plan is completed. Once the following items are addressed, your plan will receive final approval: 1. Introduction – the Enhanced Outreach for EJ Neighborhoods section needs more specifics added on the process that was undertaken in Barnstable. 2. Growth and Development Patterns – more specifics on open space-based infrastructure are needed. 3. Section 5 – note that recreation land is also protected under Article 97. Please make sure that’s clear in this section. 4. Action Plan –to meet EJ requirements, the Action Plan must be translated into the languages most commonly spoken in the community to ensure it is accessible to individuals with Limited English Proficiency. 5. Maps – the Inventory map should denote which state agency owns the parcel. Please contact me at melissa.cryan@mass.gov if you have any questions or concerns, and I look forward to reviewing your final plan. Sincerely, Melissa Cryan Melissa Cryan Grant Programs Supervisor
