Dear Chairman Dewey and members of the Board:
First Parish Brewster Unitarian Universalist is pleased to strongly support Catholic
Charities application to improve St Joseph’s Shelter to benefit homeless men and
women in Hyannis with a new site on 460 West Main St. Hyannis.
For more than 30 consecutive years our Parish has been involved with St. Joseph’s
Shelter, providing monthly meals to its guests. Our long-standing commitment
reflects our mission of “acting with kindness and serving needs greater than our
own”. It is also a testament to both the value of St. Joseph’s and its role in the
community.
Over those years we have known St. Joseph’s to be a good community partner and
their guests to be grateful for the housing, food and social service support offered to
assist their ability to lead healthy and secure lives.
