Dear Ms. Brigham,
I am writing to express my concerns and opposition regarding the proposed relocation of
the shelter to 460 West Main Street.
I live on Arrowhead Drive, very close to the proposed location. I moved into this
neighborhood three years ago because it felt safe, quiet, and family-friendly. It is a place
where children play outside, walk to school, and families feel comfortable being active in
the community. My son walks to school, and one of my biggest concerns is his safety and
the safety of other children in the neighborhood.
I am also concerned about the potential impact this relocation could have on the overall
safety and stability of the area, including increased traffic, disturbances, and possible
changes to the character of the neighborhood. As a homeowner, I am worried about the
effect this could have on property values and on the quality of life for families who have
invested in this community.
I love being outside, running, walking, and enjoying the neighborhood, and I am concerned
that this change could make residents feel less safe doing those everyday things. While I
understand the need for shelter services, I strongly ask that the town reconsider this
location and look for a site that is not directly in a residential neighborhood where children
live, play, and walk to school.
Please take these concerns seriously and reconsider the approval of the building permit for
460 West Main Street.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Megan Brenowitz
