•Installation of a commercial outdoor bicycle rack at 20 Pearl Street, Hyannis, MA, located on the grounds of Sturgis Charter Public School (East Campus) Art Building.
The proposed installation includes:
• A Global Industrial 41" L Wave Bike Rack, black powder-coated steel, with capacity for up to 5 bicycles.• The rack will be positioned adjacent to the existing unpaved driveway, near the building’s angled window to minimize visual and functional impact.
Installation Method
• The rack will be mounted on two small concrete footings, rather than a full slab, in order to preserve the historic character of the site.• Each footing will measure approximately 12–16 inches square and 8–12 inches deep, installed on a compacted crushed stone base.• The rack will be secured using stainless steel anchors at flange plates.

Project PurposeThis project is part of an Eagle Scout service project led by Quinn Mace (minor), intended to:
• Improve bicycle accessibility for students and staff• Promote sustainable transportation• Provide durable and secure bicycle parking
Historic Considerations
• Minimal ground disturbance (no full slab)• Neutral black finish to blend with surroundings• Placement minimizes visual impact and preserves existing site layout
