Dear Town of Barnstable Conservation Commission,
RE: 56 Gosnold Street, Hyannis, MA 02601
Proposed Above-Ground Swimming Pool on behalf of the homeowner
In response to the Conservation Commission's request, the enclosed revised site plans identify the
proposed location of an emergency pool overflow dry well associated with the proposed 12' × 24' above-
ground swimming pool.
The dry well is shown on the site plan as a conceptual emergency overflow discharge area intended to
provide on-site infiltration in the event of pool overflow or dewatering.
The proposed dry well is located approximately 15 feet west of the pool and more than 10 feet from the
side property line.
No direct discharge is proposed onto adjacent properties, public ways, or resource areas. The dry well is
intended solely as an emergency overflow/infiltration feature and is depicted for Conservation
Commission review and approval.
