Kevin Matthews asked about sending letter of compliance out. Finn’s or Katie’s had A Frame sign in front of the establishment. Lingerie at end of Main and Sea Street and had a television in window, monitor. Tom Doherty, are we going to write these down? Tiki bar need to send letter to the Hyannis Inn. Discussion about the sloth and Kandy Korner’s bear. Cornelius Cawley, art is what an artist says it is. Not sure where under our guidelines where this fits as public art? What regulation would that fall under? Corey Pacheco, did speak with building, will not enforce removal of stuffed animals, can ask them to voluntary remove. Not considered part of a setting as defined in the ordinance. Cornelius Cawley, television – licensing controls this, correct? Kevin Matthews, if you can see as driving or walking by cannot do. Neil, specific reference needs to be in the letter of what they need to be in compliance with. Concerned talking about specific businesses, and would this be a negative impact. Way to do without publicly broadcasting it. Chair compile a list and can check out and take to the Bldg. Dept. Need to have an opportunity to defend this. Compliance letter designed to do this – Chair need address for the particular business and can send the letter to them. And give a chance to reply. We can use the email letter from Laura to start with. Kevin Matthews, template letter. Chair Cheryl Powell, should not name the businesses. Corey Pacheco, ok to talk about specific infractions, general. Could send letters out too. i.e., open signs, led lighting etc. Once established to specific business ok to talk about at a specific meeting. Clarification of how to do letters. 3 Chair Cheryl Powell - Commissioners email the address and the particular infraction and mail out letter. Kevin Matthews confirms that this will be a follow through for compliance. Kevin Matthews – condolences to Felicia Penn’s family and friends. Town Council Liaison Charlie Bloom, this is a huge loss to the community. Knew her for 70 years. The family as well.
