The event will feature live DJs, cultural performances, Caribbean cuisine vendors, local businesses, and entertainment activities designed to promote cultural awareness and community unity. The event is organized by United Voices of Jamaica, a registered nonprofit organization, and is intended to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for residents and visitors. The festival grounds will be fully enclosed with fencing to maintain a controlled environment , with monitored entry and exit points, security personnel, and staff present throughout the event to ensure public safety and compliance with local regulations. The event will also serve as a community fundraising and cultural outreach initiative supporting the nonprofit’s mission of promoting Caribbean culture, youth engagement , and community development programs on Cape Cod. Applicant Signature* Trevon Robinson May 28, 2026 Cape Cod Caribbean Carnival 2026 Detailed Event Narrative Prepared for the Town Special One-Day Alcohol License and Event Application Organized by United Voices of Jamaica Event Overview United Voices of Jamaica, a registered nonprofit organization based in Massachusetts, respectfully submits this event narrative in support of the application for a Special One-Day Alcohol License and related event approvals for the Cape Cod Caribbean Carnival 2026. The event is a family-friendly outdoor cultural festival celebrating Caribbean heritage, music, food, dance, and community engagement. Event Details The event is scheduled for July 19, 2026, in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, with an anticipated attendance of approximately 100 guests. The event grounds will be fully enclosed with temporary perimeter fencing to create a secure and controlled environment. Event Activities Activities will include live DJ entertainment, Caribbean cultural music, food vendors, beverage service, vendor booths, VIP seating areas, and community engagement activities. The site will include a main entrance and ticketing area, emergency exit, vendor areas, designated bar service areas, portable restroom facilities, and staff operations space. Alcohol Service & Management Alcohol service, if approved, will be limited to designated bar areas within the enclosed event premises. Valid government-issued identification will be required for all alcohol purchases, and only individuals 21 years of age or older will be permitted to purchase or consume alcohol. Wristbands may be issued to verified attendees over 21 years of age. Bartenders and servers will maintain TIPS certification. Security & Crowd Management The event will maintain a controlled and monitored environment through temporary perimeter fencing, designated entrances and exits, security personnel, crowd monitoring, and emergency access lanes. Attendance will be limited to approximately 100 attendees to ensure safe crowd management and proper supervision. Health & Safety Portable restroom facilities, handwashing stations, waste disposal containers, and emergency access routes will be maintained throughout the event. Event organizers will coordinate with local authorities and emergency services if necessary. Community Purpose The Cape Cod Caribbean Carnival is intended to promote Caribbean culture, community engagement, and positive cultural awareness on Cape Cod. Proceeds from the event will support nonprofit outreach initiatives and future community programming organized by United Voices of Jamaica.
