Manual sign could be used, as in North Street and Osterville – Speedway in Osterville doesn’t have it. Kevin Matthews, traffic flow arrows – traffic only going one way correct? Pump toppers. Price is on pump itself, do you need the pump toppers with price? David Wrenn, options for changing pricing? Sunee Sharma, that is state law to have on the pump itself. Cashiers can change the price inside. LED allows to save some man hours. Alan Feltham, all in agreement except for digital monument? Need to keep it historic, doesn’t see why want the LED to display the price. Sunee Sharma, pricing is aggressive and we’d like to be competitive. This allows people to see. McDonalds has internally illuminated signage. Chair Cheryl Powell opens up public comment. Kevin Matthews, has done some research with historic districts doesn’t think this type of lighting is good for the historic district. The digital is not going to look good in historic. All else is great. Would like pump toppers not to be digital as well. David Wrenn, he feels the same. Doesn’t like the digital, on the fringe of being in the historic district. Applicant - passed around a rendering with the removal of the LED’s. These are inserts. Be externally illuminated as well. Alan Feltham, what would be the enforcement if they change it? Builders are assessing and they have a simple change. Keeping front elevation same. Changing from white cedar to white clapboard. Keeping white cedar at dormers. Substantial cost. Two historic houses on the street now and they are white clapboard, so this in with keeping what is in the neighborhood. Larua Cronin, clapboard not allowed. Hardie Board. Chair Cheryl Powell, have approved it before, it is at our discretion. Kevin Matthews, confirms it’s financial. David Wrenn asks if have a sample of the Hardie Board? Alison Alessi doesn’t have a sample with her. Laura Cronin, would like to see what it looks like, if it is going to be accepted. There are different Hardi boards as well. Alison Alessi, Hardie has two options, a grading and smooth. Can bring a sample with the two types. Alan Feltham, it’s not as good as Cedar – the life of it. It can delaminate. If white, has spots of brown. Kevin Matthews, matte finish, not shiny. Conrad Watson, the white cedar is better. Alison Alessi, the white cedar last about 20 years, not 50 – has never seen it with spots of brown. Chair Cheryl Powell, asks if can bring in sample of the material and longevity of it and colors/white. Kevin Matthews confirms two samples so all can see. David Wrenn, dormers? The presented seems like smaller than windows, about half the size. Want to be clear on what the size is going to be. The windows below are 6 over 6. Laura Cronin, we need the actual dimensions. Elizabeth Wurfbain in attendance for enforcement issues. Public comment. There was a reaction from some people regarding the letter presented to business owners. Have had some frustrations as well. The $100 a day fine was an issue with people. Kevin Matthews, suggest a different time to send letters out? Maybe spring time? Ellizabeth Wurfbain, there is probably a better time – not in the heat of the summer, maybe May or September. Chair Cheryl Powell – Building Dept. has the fine and different enforcement procedures. Kevin Matthews, maybe suggest that Building Dept. give a 90 day time to have people be compliance. Matters not Reasonably Anticipated by the Chair David Wrenn, the elevator will be repaired and will now have meetings via remote/Zoom. Corey Pacheco confirms.
