Dear Ms. Brown,
As the Manager of the Hawthorne Cottage LLC which owns the house
at 68 Washington Avenue, Hyannisport, MA, I wanted to write and say
that we are in favor of demolition on the house at 46 Washington
Avenue, Hyannisport. This house is two houses down from our house
on the same side of the street.
The house is question is in very bad shape and originally an out
building of the original house which was on the property. The house is
not in line with the other houses on the street. When the house is
demolished and a new house is put at the same street setback, I feel
that it will add to more cohesion on the street.
I am assuming that the new house will be in an appropriate
architectural style to blend into the surrounding houses. I have been
assured of this by the Alversons. Knowing them well, I trust that the
new house will be a fitting addition to our historic town.
