Existing Location : 43 Bacon Lane Existing Structure is scheduled to be demolished after the Demolition Delay period ends January 2023. Having spoken with two house movers on Cape Cod, both agreed the property could not realistically be moved intact. The building is too large, the roads are too small, can no longer cut trees, branches, and powerlines like old days. My process would be to demo the interior of the structure down to the frame . Then I would create an As-Built drawing of the frame components and their location by labeling each piece. The windows/ doors, roofing and siding will be removed as needed. The wall and roof components would be moved in as large pieces as possible. Some as disassembled as individual components. New Location: 56 Cook Circle, Hyannis A new foundation would be poured at the new location. The frame would then be re-constructed exactly as it came apart. Modern plywood would be added as needed reinforce old frame for next 50 years. New appropriate Windows would be installed in old opening. New white cedar siding and red cedar roofing to be installed. After review and consideration of public testimony, application and record file, the Commission by a vote of four in favor (Parks, Powell, Fifield, Clark) and two opposed (Jessop, Kay), found that In accordance with Chapter 112-G the structure Is a preferably preserved significant building. In accordance with Chapter 112-3 G, the Commission determined by a vote of four In favor (Clark, Fifield, Parks, Powell, Kay) and one opposed (Jessop) that the full demolition of this structure would be detrimental to the historical, cultural or architectural heritage or resources of the Town and so pursuant to that vote in accordance with Chapter 112-3 H, a demolition delay of 18 months from the date of this decision is imposed for this structure.
