Ms. Brigham,
I am a Florida attorney representing Patricia C. Baker in her estate and family planning matters. Patti's
property at 43 Sunset Point abuts the subject property. I also act as the manager of Patti's family holding
company which is the sole beneficiary of Sunset Point Realty Trust. At this stage of the proceeding,
Sunset Point Realty Trust must vehemently object to the application. We are in the process of retaining
local counsel to represent our interests in the proceeding, but time is of the essence. We also do not have
enough information about the applicant's plans for the land subject to the request for the variance. We
have heard that the applicant plans to build another single family residence on the parcel for the use of a
family member. This plan raises many red flags which might adversely impact Ms. Baker's family.
More information is needed. Also, Ms. Baker's late husband made an inquiry to the Board in 2009 trying
to obtain a lot split for 250 Windswept Way, and he was told that it was not possible to obtain approval.
This past inquiry is confirmed by Mr. McDonough's son in the attached letter. In any event, we are
requesting postponement of the scheduled hearing to a later date so that more information can be
gathered. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
