RE: Existing Carriage House -108 Little River Rd., Cotuit, MA 02635
Dear Mr. Luff,
At our site meeting on March 28, 2022, at the referenced existing carriage house to discuss
concerns about the stability of the structure as demolition of the interior floor slab had
commenced, it was agreed that work on the carriage house would stop temporarily and the
ground level openings (doors and windows) were boarded up to prevent access to the structure
given the concerns about its stability. ·
Based on my observations on March 28, 2022, I recommend that repairs to the structure,
including but not limited to replacement of the rotted sills and reinforcing of the existing walls
~ ..
and roof framing, be completed immediately in order to stabilize the structure pending a
determination of the final scope of work on the building.
