To install a septic system,I will have to replace my driveway, front stairway,mature shrubbery on two sides of the house,move my water line and take down my magnificent 50 year old tree in ray frontyard.Then there is the cost of the new system,a great amount of fill,the plumber and electrician and who knows what else?The total with an alternative system comes close to$40,000.I feel that this hardship was not caused by my C actions and that the original proposal is a great improvement over the 50 year old cesspool that now exists. The property is very confining and I have no where else to go.I have tried to meet the maximum feasible compliance to the best of my ability,and am able to pursue this project only to a point;as I have to consider not only the total cost,but firiwe loan payments,maintenance and repairs.All of this is beyond my means.
