Village: HYANNIS Assessors Map-Parcel: 290091 Complaint Description: Lm received a call from Structures &Grounds 3/08/2002 about a 55-gallon drum in Betty's Pond Rd. The call was reported by a neighbor, who apparently saw a group of young children rolling the drum into the pond. We believe the drum was being stored in a dilapidated building on town property abutting the pond. Actions Taken/Results: LM arrived at Betty's Pond Rd. at 3:15PM after calling Eric Farrenkopf at the Hyannis fire Dept. Upon arrival we found a 55-gallon drum wedged in the mud on the enbankment of the Pond. The drum was filled with Kerosene and in fine condition. We removed the drum and stored it at Structures &Grounds for the weekend. Monday morning LM met George to transfer the drum from Str&Gr. to the Health Dept.'s HazMat storage shed.
