FOUND THE SOURCE OF THE OIL TO BE COMING FROM WATER RUNOFF FROM THE STREET.(ENTERPRISE). TRACING THE FLOW FOUND OIL THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE STREET.CALL FOR THE DUTY OFFICER AT 1140(CHIEF CHISHOLM). UPON THE CHIEFS ARRIVAL CONTINUED TO TRY TO LOCATE THE SOURCE AND THE EXTENT OF THE SPILL. LOCATED THE SOURCE OF THE SPILL AT LARRY'S ALIGNMENT 63 ENTERPRIZE ROAD.ONE OF TWO EXTERIOR 275 GALLON OIL TANKS THAT FEED THE TWO OIL BURNERS FOR THE BUILDING HAD A LEAK IN THE BOTTOM. HAD F/A NOTIFY THE BARNSTABLE BOARD OF HEALTH(1155)AND DONNA MORANDI RESPONDED MASS DEP WAS NOTIFIED AT(1212)AND DEP RESPONSE ENGINEER LEONARD PINAUD RESPONDED. CLEAN HARBORS WAS NOTIFIED AT 1226. BEGAN CONTAINMENT WITH BOOMS FROM THE HAZ-MATS TRAILER UNTIL THE ARRIVAL OF CLEAN HARBORS. THE BUILDINGS OWNER LARRY MAHAN WAS NOTIFIED AND ARRIVED AT THE LOCATION. Spill was determined to have come fron an above ground outside 275 gal. #2 fuel oil tank located at 63 Enterprise Rd., Hyannis D/B/A Larry's Alignment. Oil was visible on ground every where. It is estimated to be 200-225 gallons spilled down drivewayonto Enterprise Road down p o n to front side, and rear of Nevada Bob's. Budget Petroleum filled tank last week. Unable to initially reach owner of Larry's it was deemed necessary to call Clean • Harbors. Harry from Clean Harbors arrived around 2PM and then called for a vacuum truck. Vacuum truck arrived and Len Pinaud of DEP. Clean Harbors is!performing clean-up. Robert Warren is the LSP obtained for the site.
