The property owned by you located at 17 High School Road 2nd floor, was inspected on July 20, 2007 by Timothy O'Connell, Health Inspector for the Town of Barnstable. This inspection was conducted on the basis of the rental registration in accordance with Chapter 170 of the Town of Barnstable Code. The following violations of the State Sanitary Code were observed: 105 CMR 410.503(B)—Protective Railings and Walls. No balusters on stairs. The following violations of the Town of Barnstable Code were observed: 170-10—Smoke Detectors and Carbon Monoxide Alarms. No carbon monoxide alarms provided. You are directed to correct the violations listed above within twenty-four (24) hours of your receipt of this notice by installing CO alarms within ten (10) feet of bedrooms in accordance with Mass State Fire Codes. You are directed to correct the violations listed above within thirty (30) days of your receipt of this notice by pulling building permit and installing balusters on stairs. Carey RE: Property: 17 High School Road, Hyannis, Ma. Dear Mr. O'Connell: This note is a follow-up of my previous letter to you. Regarding the inspection of the apartment the work has now been completed as per the request of the Board of Health: 1. The carbon monoxide detector was installed immediately following your inspection. (See copy. of receipt for the detector). 2. Balusters have been installed on the staircase as per code 105 CMR 410.503.(B) : A. copy of the building permit is -enclosed with this_lettere-as well as the information on the licensed contractor.
