This includes persons in your pool and includes all other persons within the pool enclosure. r The following conditions must be complied with: (1) The pool must be supervised by a swimmer all times the pool is open. We wish to make it clear that this swimmer must be at the pool and cannot be observing from the desk unless another swimmer is provided and physically present at the pool. This swimmer must be certified in adult, child, and pediatric CPR by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association or equivalent, be familiar with lifesaving equipment and knowledgeable in first aid procedures. (Minimum swimmer qualification requirements are enclosed). (2) You must keep a permanent record on a form prescribed by the Board of Health listing each swimmer supervising the pool when it is in use. (Sample of prescribed form is enclosed). (3) We must have a copy of the applicant's insurance policy naming the Town as coinsured in the amount of$1,000,000. (4) All other regulations contained in 105 CMR 435.00, Minimum Standards for Swimming Pools, must be strictly complied with. Q:HEALTH/WP/PoolHuley (5) The swimmer(s) must hold a current American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or equivalent CPR certificate with training in adult, child, and pediatric CPR. (6) A certified pool operator shall ensure the swimming pool is properly maintained on a regular basis. (7) The swimming pool water must be tested for coliform bacteria at least monthly by a certified laboratory. You are granted this modification because you stated you will hire "qualified swimmers" who be present to supervise all times the pool is open. The qualified swimmers are CPR certified and are to be familiar with all of the life saving equipment associated with pool use. Please be advised that if it is ever determined that the pool is open but is not supervised by a "qualified swimmer" immediately at the pool site, this modification will become invalid and you will be required to cease operation of the swimming pool immediately. This modification expires December 31, 2003. It will be your responsibility to request renewal of a variance after an expiration date.
