RE: Weeks Crossing Pool
Dear Mr. Stahley:
You are granted variances to construct a well to be used for the semi-public pool located
at Weeks Crossing off of Percival Drive, West Barnstable.
The variances granted are as follows:
Part XII: To install an onsite well 115 feet away from an existing leaching facility
which is located at 190 Percival Drive, West Barnstable, in lieu of the 150
feet separation distance requirement.
Part XII: To install an onsite well 115 feet away from an existing leaching pit which
is located at 260 Percival Drive, West Barnstable.
Part XII: To install an onsite well 120 feet away from an existing leaching facility
which is located at 160 Percival Drive, West Barnstable.
These variances are granted with the following conditions:
(1) A licensed well driller shall obtain a well construction permit from the Board of
Health prior to installation of the well.
(2) The applicant shall obtain a semi-public swimming pool permit from the Board of
Health prior to operation of the pool, and annualy thereafter.
(3) All the provisions of 105 CMR 435.00, Minimum Standards For Swimming
Pools, State Sanitary Code, Chapter V, and of the Town of Barnstable Board of
Health(ie: bacteriological testing, lifeguards) shall be adhered to.

These variances are granted because this well will be used to fill the community pool
which is located within the open space of this subdivision. The designing engineer
proposed this well in the only possible location on the lot which will be most distant from
all of the surrounding leaching facilities.
