Accordingly, I am enclosing copies of the chains of title to both lots.' At no time going back to 1938 on one title and 1944 on the other title were the lots ever conveyed by one single deed. I think it also important to note that on the two occasions where the title passed via Probate Court, the probate inventory lists both parcels as separate, single dwellings. In addition, I am providing you a copy of a letter dated March 5, 1997 by a former owner of the property, John Orb. His letter states that at least as early as 1946 the existing cottage on Lot B was used as a residential dwelling. I believe the enclosed information proves that the two residences on the two adjacent lots were treated as separate entities prior to advent of zoning, and have always been treated as two separate entities from the mid 1940s to the present time.
