Hyannis firefighters were called to 43 Hiramar Road at 1:15 a.m.for a reported fire and found flames showing from the rear of the building, Hyannis fire Lt. Greg Dardia said. The occupant of the apartment,which makes up one side of a duplex,was not home at the time and nobody was injured, Dardia said. Firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire and left the scene by 3:08 a.m., he said. The fire department and an arson investigator with the Barnstable police are investigating the cause of the fire, Dardia said. "We definitely had some fires in that area before," Dardia said.
