Approve the submitted plans and approve the proposed changes in a 3 aye 2 nay vote: Nov. 20, 2014 Building permit application is submitted to Building Uvision , Nov. 25, 2014 Building permit issued Jan. 21, 2015 Responded to complaint that 133 Irving exceeded the Barnstable Historic approved.demolition. The chimney was removed without the approval of the BHC. A stop work order was issued. Jan. 22, 2105 Spoke with contractor and informed him that he needed to go back to historic for approval of any work exceeding their decision. Jan:26, 2015 Received e-mail to Mark Grenier from JoAnne Buntich giving their approval for construction to go forward' ° provided confirmation that the plans in the building department matched those approved by BHC'and prior to final inspection a new application must be filed with BHC showing the removed chimney. .- Jan. 29„ 2015 ' Confirmed with Marylou that our plans matched the approved BHC plans. As you are aware the Barnstable Historical Commission (BHC) received an application requesting demolition of specific portions of this structure.The BHC held a public hearing, declared the structure a significant building,and approved the set of plans depicting demolition of the portions of the structure requested in the application. As you and I discussed this morning, the structure's chimney was removed during construction. The demolition of the chimney was not requested on the application to the BHC and so was not approved. From the BHC perspective,given this set of circumstances, construction work may go forward at 133 Irving Avenue. Your next step would be to contact the Building Department. As follow up please ensure that the following are promptly addressed: ➢ Please ensure that the Building Department has the same set of plans that the BHC approved. It is not clear at this time that this has been done. ➢ It is my understanding that before a Certificate of Occupancy can be issued, a new application must be filed with the BHC and their action on the application completed.
