The Commission considered the materials, design, color, size, location, and context of the proposed signage and found it to be appropriate for the protection and preservation of the district. Based on these findings,the Commission voted to grant the certificate of appropriateness subject to the.following conditions: 1. Tables and chairs for outdoor dining approved as shown in submission.stamped Approved 6/13/2013. Chairs shall be steel mesh with metal frame. Applicant will reuse existing tables with faux granite surface. 2. One 20" x 24" Location Hardship sign, A-Frame style, approved with name of business in script gold lettering and type of business in white sans serif letters on black background, and "Today's Specials' in script lettering on white background. Sign shall not be plastic. 3. Outdoor dining subject to all licensing and health requirements,as applicable. A Special Permit from the Planning Board required to display the Location Hardship sign. The Commission considered the materials, design, color, size, location, and-context of the proposed signage and found it to be appropriate for the protection and preservation of the district. Based on these findings, the Commission voted to grant the certificate of appropriateness subject to the following conditions: 1. One oval projecting sign, not to exceed 3' x 4',to be placed on the existing pole on Main Street is approved, as shown in the submissions stamped`approved' by the HHDC 5/15/2013. 2. One wall sign, not to exceed 1' x 121, is approved as shown in the submissions stamped `approved' by the HHDC 5/15/2013. Signage shall be centered between second floor window sills and entry portico,so that it appropriately fits the fagade. 3. Any additional illumination of signage is prohibited. 4. Sign permits from the Building Division are required prior to installation of the signs. All signage must Meet the requirements of the Barnstable Sign Code.
