I will consult the Town Attorney for confirmation but in the interim I have determined based upon the arguments presented, the division is not an illegal subdivision as the property as it was divided-is and will continue to be heid.in common ownership. Further,there is no chance that it can be separated in the future. The purpose of the ANR was to separate the building known as the "carriage house"from the rest of the compound in order to give a life estate to a certain member of the Kennedy family. That member of the family has the exclusive use of that portion of the property until such time as the life estate expires. The structure has had living quarters since before zoning and building code regulations existed. Building Code: The Trustee (Attorney Ford), upon receiving credible information that construction work had been completed on the "carriage house"without benefit of a building permit has purposed to ensure that the necessary building permits are obtained. He understands that some destructive testing or an engineer's certification may be required to demonstrate code compliance. The Trust's contractor will be in contact to obtain the necessary permits soon. 1 . Directive: Finally, there is an emergency vent repair that should be permitted immediately as it appears to be a hazardous condition. Anyone with knowledge of a contractor seeking to obtain a permit for the vent repair should contact them immediately and instruct them to take whatever action.is necessary to make repairs and obtain the proper permit as soon as possible once the repair is made (in that order).[It is imperative(fiat the..pr_operty be,posted_as unsafe until such time as,the,�repair_is_campleted If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
