As long as the application is clocked into our office by February 27, 2009, the project will be able to proceed under the 6ch edition of the building code and the existing stairs (item 4 of your letter) will be able to remain as long as your P.E. determines they are safe. As is standard practice, the issuance of the permit requires all necessary supporting documentation (e.g. Board of Health decision, etc.) and conformance with the 6th edition (e.g. item 5 of your letter and table 705.2 for all buildings on site, etc). If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call. So I would like A+E Architects-Builders (Robert Evans)removed immediately from all permits applications, Workmans' comp applications and sub-contractor lists. I do not know where the Foundation is taking the project from here. We may still be in the loop concerning architecture at some point. We will be in touch if we here anything further. If you need further documentation or need us to come in to remove our firm from the permits please let me know. Thanks for all your help and we'll look forward to the next project in Barnstable.
