Upon arrival of 321, I found a 1 story residential with no smoke or fire showing and three people noted outside in the drivewas. 321 Took command as 306 arrived. 306 made entry and found a fire in the kitchen involving the exterior of the over the range microwave. They extinguished the fire with dry chem and began checking for extension. Report given to dispatch and assignment was continued at reduced response. 306 i began ventilation of smoke condition and was assisted by 303 upon their arrival. No extension � was found. She heard her son yelling about a fire and found the pan on fire with the fire beginning to extend to the microwave. She took the pan and placed it outside of the home and evacuated the house. The pan was on the front walk when we arrived. ventilation was completed and the microwave was taken down and removed from the home. The oven was moved out and checked behind finding no heat or damage to the oven other than melted plastic that had dripped from the microwave. Units were returned and the house was turned back to the occupant. FPO Grossman on location and took photos. The owner of the home is the occupants boyfriend, Neil Woolery. She did not know their insurance company. Secondly,this house was sold in 2016 and was inspected by our department. Since that inspection there has been significant alterations to the basement area.A second kitchen has been added and it appears at least one or two bedrooms have been added with no record of permits in View Permit. The total number of bedrooms in the home is 5 or 6,we could not get an accurate count due to some doors being locked. The occupant was made aware of some potential issues that may need follow-up from the fire and/or building departments. Let me know if you need anything else.
