Maintain existing pier with seasonal ramp and float. Based on aerial photography the pier has existed
at the site since at least 1952. An Order of Conditions to permit and maintain the pier on June 5, 1990,
The structure and local wetlands permit pre-date the Dock & Pier Overlay District (Sec 240-37)which
was not adopted until 2/1/01. The pier should, therefore, be treated as legally pre-existing
non-conforming under the Zoning Ordinance.

1. ) Within one month of receipt of this 'Order of Conditions and prior
to the commencement of any work approved herein,- ,General Condition
number 8 (preceding page) shall be complied with.
2. ) It • ' is the responsibility of the applicant, owner and/or
successors) to ensure that all conditions of this Order are complied
with. The project engineer and contractors are to be provided with a •
copy of this Order and referenced documents before the commencement of
construction. `
PIER: .
3. ) The seasonal storage of floats shall be at a suitable upland site.
Floats shall not be stored on beaches, banks, marshes, dunes or other
wetland resources areas.
4. ) Spacing between deck: planks shall be no less than 1 on the
occasion of the next maintenance.
5. ) The applicant shall provide the Commission with post-construction
photographs of the proposed structure for its compliance inspection
purposes. The photographs shall be labelled and clearly indexed
relative to the plan of record.
6. ) Float piling and stops shall be installed at the project
engineer's discretion to avoid any projected routine grounding of the {
Floats. j

7. ) The proposed stairs shall be constructed a minimum of 1' above
grade, and shall be constructed without solid wood risers on the
occasion of the next maintenance. .

REVETMENT:
9. ) Prior to any revetment repair, the applicant, engineer of record
and contractor shall consult with the Conservation Department
regarding work protocols necessary to protect coastal resource areas
at the locus.
10. ) Any repair shall incorporate filter fabric behind. the revetment
and loose as opposed to grouted stone.
11. ) The Conservation Commission, its emplcgyees, and its agents shall
have a right of entry to inspect for compliance with the provisions of
this Order of Conditions.

12. ) At the completion of work, or.by the expiration of the present
permit, General Condition number 11 shall be complied with.
