Mr. Marland presented his petition for variance relief under Section J of the zoning by-laws for the property located at 1166 Newtown Road, Cotuit in an RF zoning district. The locus consists of 23,401 square feet and contains the petitioner's residence to which the petitioner desires to construct a 15' x 20' family roan. It is necessary to place this proposed construction within the existing setback area of fifteen feet, because of the existing septic system, A Plan indicaing the septic system on the lot and the sewage permit has been submitted as requested by the Board. The relief sought is minimal, being an intrusion into the setback area of three feet (3). Chairman, Luke P. Lally, made a motion to grant the Variance as requested, since it appears that it would not be substantially detrimental to the neighborhood. Gail Nightingale seconded the motion. The Board voted unanimously to grant the Variance at 1166 Newtown Road, Cotuit, with the intrusion of three feet in to the setback area - to be per the Plan submitted with the filing.
