Box 1384 Cotuit Federated Church Cotuit, Ma 02635 Re: Cotuit Post Office Dear Mr. Scales, Based on a personal visit to the Cotuit Post Office and the residence of Mr. John Cira on the night of August 24, 2001,I find that the Post Office has violated section 4-2.5(5) of the Barnstable Zoning Ordinance and the ZBA#2000-86 decision item#5. The wall pak lights under the soffit on the Westerly side of the post office illuminate the interior of the Cira residence, as do the parking lot lights in front of the Post Office. The above conditions will be exacerbated this fall when the trees lose their leaves. You are hereby ordered to immediately correct this situation, as requested previously, so that no lights or glare illuminate the Cira residence or other abutters. Fax: 508-790-6230 July 13, 2000 M Re: Cotuit Post Office&temporary trailer site on Falmouth Rd Kathleen Walker of the USPO met with the Building-Commissioner to discuss the status of the assertion of Federal jurisdiction over this project 'The..Commissioner played the video tape of 4/27/00 Site Plan meeting during which Bob,Scales of the Federated - Church responded to the Commissioner's question on federarjunsdicuon-The Commissioner asked if "federal jurisdiction was being asserted",.;Dan Ojala deferred to Bob Scales who was seated beside the Cotuit Post-Master Mr Scales responded affirmatively. The Post Master remained silent. (I believe that?he nodded but it is not shown on the tape). The Commissioner informed Ms. Walker that all permits would beheld up pending receipt of proper documentation indicating Federal assertion and/or the return to SPR and a subsequent application to the ZBA. - Z�.
