The current dwelling is over 75 years old, however it is not a Historically or Architecturally Significant Building nor located within a historic district. It is not listed or pending registration on the National Register of Historic Places . The structure is not associated with any historic persons or events, or within the broad architectural, cultural, political, economic or social history of Cotuit or the Commonwealth of Massachusetts . The structure. is not historically or architecturally important and was not built by a famous architect or builder, it is not significant in style, period, method of building construction. The structure is not in the public interest to be preserved or rehabilitated. Aesthetically, the new dwelling would be a substantial improvement in appearance over the existing dwelling.
