Complaint Description: There is septic smells. There is a pile(Mound)
in the back yard which is septic waste which
thay plainted flowers around. This house is
only a cottage with (1) one bedroom and there
is six people living there. This cottage has a
single cesspool.
Actions Taken/Results: Went to location and got tenant to go around to
the back of the house with me. There was no
odor present walking around the yard. There
was a mound in the back yard with flowers on
it. I tapped the area with my foot to see if that
would promote any odors, and it did not. There
is a dog in the yard. It is a 2 bedroom house,
not a 1 bedroom as stated by the complainant.

were more people at the house than allowed,
and she said her son was living there, and his
wife has some children that she has joint
custody of, and they stay there occasionally.

complaint, no information was given.

Complaint Description: THIS LOCATION APPEARS TO HAVE
PEOPLE WORKING ON THE SEPTIC
SYSTEM WITHOUT A PERMIT. THERE ARE
PIPES IN THE YARD THAT LOOK LIKE THEY
ARE GOING TO BE USED FOR THE SEPTIC
SYSTEM. THERE IS A SEPTIC ODOR
PRESENT.
Actions Taken/Results. I spoke with the gentleman at the above
property, and he said that he had not done any
work to his septic system, nor was he planning
on doing any work. He said his septic system
is working fine, and has no problems with it,
and therefore wouldn't need to do any work on
it. I told him of the complaint,.and he seemed
a little surprised, but took me around back to
show me where the system was.. There were
a few small copper and PVC.pipes in the yard,
from bathroom plumbing. There was no
evidence of tampering with the septic system
in the yard. The system was in the same.
condition as it was on my previous complaint
on 10/29/01. The soils were not disturbed
anywhere around the septic system. There
were no odors present of sewage, again.

There was no evidence of hydraulic failure.
He claims they don't have any problems with.
the septic system. Both investigations seemed
to reveal no problems with.the septic system,
as there were no signs of hydraulic failure, nor
odors of sewage.
