Your property-at 154 Greenwood Ave.,Hyannis MA (Map-Parcel 288-147) is missing the abandonment permit for the old septic system. The permit is needed for the project's completion and it is required by the Health Division. This letter is a reminder to follow up with the Health Division and obtain an abandonment permit. Please contact your contractor to see if they may have already applied for the permit and forgot to finish the process when they connected your property to the sewer. If no permit was obtained in 2015, then you will need to have a septic contractor apply for a permit and complete the abandonment. Applications for permits are available at: Barnstable Health Division, 200 Main St. Hyannis, MA. The fee for the permit is $25. If you have any question please call the Health Division at 508-862-4644 Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. McKean, CHO Agent of the Board of Health Town of Barnstable Board of Health 200 Main Street Hyannis, MA 02601 Re;Notice 288-147 Show-Case Hearing Dear Mr. McKean, I am writing in.response to letter received for the property at.154 Greenwood Ave. Hyannis. I am the son of the property owners and wanted to explain why the property has not completed the sewer connection by the March 31, 2015 deadline. During the timeline of this project,my father George J. Tzimorangas became ill and required full-time care that my mother Theodosia needed to provide for almost 2 years at their home off Cape. This latest until my father passed away and the need to complete the connection did not come to my attention until earlier this year. During the illness situation, there was no way my mother or father would have been able to, or involved in completing this project. We fully intend to comply and have begun the process of connecting to the town sewer project. We have contacted Ready Rooter of Sandwich, and their owner, Kevin Sullivan has been in touch with Dave Anderson(Sewer Dept.) to do an on-site inspection of the current system and they are designing the connection form the house to the sewer connect at the property line. This will be completed, hopefully this fall and the house will be connected to the project. We regret that this was delayed, but it was a difficult time in the family and the need for in-home, 24/7 care for my father became the priority of the family. Please feel free to contact me at jtzimoran as ,energynewengland.com or by mail at my house, 19 Buxus Shores Circle, Sandwich, MA 02563. I am unable to attend the previously scheduled hearing, as I am out of town for the next two weeks. I will keep you updated on the progress of the project and will make sure the contractor is in constant contact with the Town of Barnstable and the Sewer Department.. Thank you John G.
