US 301 Bushnell, FL 33513 Tel. 352-793-1993 To: Thomas A. McKean Director of Public Health 367 Main St. Hyannis, MA 02601 From: Rosann D. Sullivan Mulholland Re: Complaint M. Eastman, attached. Dear Sir, Re 410. 500 - A carpenter was called weeks ago to perform the necessary repairs on the ceiling as well as a letter written to him stressing the urgency of the situation with this particu- lar tenant. Ms. Eastman was also apprised of that fact by phone and to expect to hear from him. In conversation with him this day he maintains that some of the delay can be attributed to MS. Eastman in that the situation had to be viewed at her convenience which finally took place last Thursday with arrange- ments to fix it this coming Thursday. You may check all of the above with Mr, J. LeBoeuf at 778-5004 . Every effort was extended on my part to take care of the situation . I understand that she is under the misguided notion that her call to your office is what precipitated the call of the carpenter. Not SO. Evidently she is accustomed to people who lie and distort. I have been a landlord for over 40 years and I have NEVER had to be in a position to write such a letter. Secondly, enclosed is a copy of her lease and you will see that under item #16 she is responsible for the rest of the repairs . While I have been generous in the past on matters such as these I will no longer be. Thirdly, if I am to be called on the mat by the town of Barn- stable by the health department my name is not RUTH ANN! I deeply resent my tenant ' s actions as I have always acted in a responsible manner where my bulding and my tenant ' s are concern- ed . Toward the end that I am a responsible person possessed of integrity you may question Robert Whitty, town Assessor and Irene Joy, town clerk' s office. At one time, before his death, my husband Hugh Mulholland was with the assessing department but time does march on and new people and faces appear and we over 65 have to fight like hell to keep our illusions of fair play and honor intact. Sincerely, c/c R. Whitty, I . Joy, J. LeBoeuf, M. Eastman i .s Town of Barnstable Health Department t NAM I 1 63 367 Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601 ¢ ` Office 508-790-6265 Thomas A.
