I join Susan Guill in opposing the requests for a zoning variance and wish my
opposition to be made part of the record. In addition to Susan Guill’s informed
opposition I would like to add the following:
Shoehorning a structure that is more than five times its original, on a 2/3acre plot
(much less than the oneacre minimum for our area, is inappropriate for a
residential section of 6A. It's like a McMansion in Naples, Florida an overlylarge
house on a small plot of land.
Henry Blair had designed a makeover of the carriage house that I thought was
acceptable. I do not think the variance for a setback and the size of the house are
appropriate for such a small lot.
It will detract from the aesthetics of the neighborhood and destroy the historical
setting in which the applicant proposes to build.
Please make my opposition part of the record.
Sincerely,
Matthew Rueter
